How It Works
Our Process
Bat Exclusion
Bat exclusion is the only legal and effective way to remove bats from a structure in Florida. We locate every entry point — gaps as small as 3/8 of an inch — and install one-way exclusion devices that allow bats to leave but not return. Once the colony has vacated, we seal every opening permanently.
Full Inspection First
Every job starts with a thorough exterior and interior inspection. We identify all active roosts, entry points, and signs of guano accumulation before any work begins.
One-Way Exclusion Devices
We install professional-grade exclusion tubes and netting at every active entry point. Bats fly out at dusk to feed and cannot re-enter. Devices remain in place until the colony has fully vacated — typically 3–7 days.
Permanent Sealing
Once the colony is gone, we remove all exclusion devices and permanently seal every gap using caulk, hardware cloth, foam, and metal flashing — materials bats cannot chew through.
Florida Maternity Season Compliance
Florida law prohibits bat exclusion from April 15 through August 15 — the maternity season when pups cannot fly. We schedule work accordingly and advise you on the best timing.
Guano Cleanup & Remediation
Bat guano is more than a nuisance — it's a health hazard. Accumulated droppings can harbor Histoplasma capsulatum, a fungus that causes histoplasmosis when spores are inhaled. Our certified remediation team removes all contaminated material, treats the area with EPA-registered disinfectants, and neutralizes odors completely.
Health Risk Assessment
We assess the extent of contamination and advise on the appropriate level of remediation — from spot cleaning to full attic cleanout — based on the size of the colony and duration of the infestation.
Full Protective Protocol
Our technicians wear full PPE including respirators, Tyvek suits, and gloves. We use HEPA vacuums and negative air pressure containment to prevent spore dispersal into living areas.
EPA-Registered Disinfection
After physical removal, we apply EPA-registered disinfectants and fungicides to all affected surfaces. This eliminates remaining pathogens and neutralizes the ammonia odor from urine.
Waste Disposal
All contaminated material is bagged, sealed, and disposed of in accordance with local regulations. We document the process for your records and insurance purposes.
Attic Restoration
After bats have been excluded and guano removed, your attic insulation is often saturated with urine, compressed by the colony, or simply too contaminated to leave in place. We remove all compromised insulation and replace it with new blown-in insulation — restoring your home's energy efficiency and eliminating any remaining odor.
Insulation Assessment
We evaluate the condition of your existing insulation and provide a clear recommendation. In many cases, partial replacement is sufficient — we only remove what's necessary.
Full Insulation Removal
Contaminated insulation is removed using commercial vacuum equipment with HEPA filtration. The attic floor is then cleaned and treated before new insulation is installed.
New Blown-In Insulation
We install blown-in cellulose or fiberglass insulation to current Florida building code R-values. Proper insulation levels reduce energy bills and improve year-round comfort.

With your permission, we inspect the attic and any accessible interior spaces for signs of roosting — guano piles, urine staining, bat odor, and live or dead bats.
